Building Habitat for Humanity Houses
Some new news for our Habitat volunteers…..
The Women Build Saturday August 28 was a great success with framing done for new 4 houses in Milwaukee’s inner city. Our next regular work day will be:
Next Work Day - Saturday, Sept. 28
Time: 8:30am – 3:00pm (note the 8:30 start time instead of 8:00)
Address: 2223 North 28th St.
Duties for the day include siding but often activities may change depending on what stage was completed by earlier volunteers. The 35 houses being framed in 2019 is the most ambitious schedule Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity has in its 35 year history. The initiative is part of the Midtown 100 project begun in 2018 through 2020 to build, rehab, or perform critical repairs on 100 homes. Hope to see many of you there. You can sign up on line now at:
