How We Connect Outside Our Walls

Locally:

  • Make Bag Lunches and Muffins for St. James Meal Program-- Sign up in fellowship hall

  • Serving Quarterly Hot Meals at Summerfield UMC Meal Program

  • Provide supplies for St. Ben's food site

  • Building Habitat for Humanity Houses

    • Some new news for our Habitat volunteers…..

        The Women Build Saturday August 28 was a great success with framing done for new 4 houses in Milwaukee’s inner city.  Our next regular work day will be:

       

      Next Work Day - Saturday, Sept. 28

      Time:  8:30am – 3:00pm (note the 8:30 start time instead of 8:00)

      Address:  2223 North 28th St.

      Duties for the day include siding but often activities may change depending on what stage was completed by earlier volunteers.  The 35 houses being framed in 2019 is the most ambitious schedule Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity has in its 35 year history.  The initiative is part of the Midtown 100 project begun in 2018 through 2020 to build, rehab, or perform critical repairs on 100 homes.  Hope to see many of you there.  You can sign up on line now  at:

  • Service to United Methodist Children's Services

  • Service to Northcott Neighborhood House

  • Support of Wauwatosa Food Pantry

  • Mitten Tree and Christmas, gift distribution for children in need

    • We have been filling the Christmas Tree since 1973

  • Annual Mother's Day Soap Sunday Collection

  • Provide meeting space for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts

  • Provide office space to Greater Tosa Interfaith

  • Provide worship space for Mary of Magdala Catholic congregation

  • Periodic Coffee House evenings with food, music and fellowship. Proceeds go to Outreach.
